Delta‘s General Area Sensor AS-B model supports 10 mm, 20 mm, and 40 mm beam spacing. The detection height ranges from 160 mm to 1,920 mm. The AS-B model can detect objects of different sizes, suitable for different types of area protection.
Delta provides two types of the AS-B model :

Multiple Detection Capabilities: detects finger-sized, hand-sized, and arm-sized objects
Anti-Interference:lighting angle < 5° , reduces external stray light impact
Self-Diagnosis:simultaneously conducts light beam scanning, voltage and channel diagnosis in each scanning cycle
Easy Installation:alignment indicators for transmitters and receivers alignment, suitable for long-range installation
Zero Dead Zone:full coverage of the light beams; each end of the sensors can be installed close to the surface
Robust Housing:ball-impact tested to avoid damage to the cover
Object Measurement (Communication Type)
Full Functionalities: includes AS-B Standard Type features and supports RS-485 connection
Proactive Protection:supports interlock and restart functions
Presence Detection:supports fixed / floating blanking setting for presence check
Spacing Measurement: measures the size and spacing of up to 5 objects
Isochronous Data Upload: proactively and automatically uploads channel status or combination data to the control system for immediate reaction
Energy-Saving Mode: the ON light can be turned off
